Services - Lumbar Sympathetic Blocks

Indications for Lumbar Sympathetic Blocks may include Diabetic Neuropathy and Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. This type of pain block is performed when a patient has a prominent complaint of burning and “vice-like” pain in the legs, caused by irregular functioning of nerves (called the Lumbar Sympathetic Chain) that supply the lower extremities. All procedures are comfortably performed at an outpatient center under generous sedation and local anesthesia, with direct visualization using an X-Ray camera (fluoroscopy)
